Disclaimer
- We are a craft studio, a factory finish is unlikely if not almost impossible.
- All pottery will craze (spidery looking cracks under the surface glaze) over time. Avoiding extreme temperatures will help protect from this.
- Every care is taken to create your products how you would like them however, it should be recognised that these are natural products, handcrafted and inconsistencies should be seen as part of the nature of the product.
- If you are unsatisfied with your pottery in any way, please advise us as soon as possible. We will offer for you the chance re-paint your item and we will glaze and fire it free of charge. Or we will offer you a voucher.
What we mean by “Scratches”
- We not responsible for scratches made on counter tops, coffee tables, dining room tables, other pottery, or any other surface. The pottery we make is stoneware. Stoneware is very hard and may leave scratches on other surfaces. Stone is very hard and can leave scratches.
- Any pottery can scratch another surface. How the pottery is handled and what the pottery comes in contact with could determine if it does or does not scratch.
What we mean by “Discoloration”
- Coffee and some teas could, over time, discolour the pottery glaze and/or raw clay that is on the very bottom. This could, if it does happen at all, take years to develop.
- If it does happen, think of it as a patina (a green or brown film on the surface of bronze or similar metals, produced by oxidation over a long period).
- If you think this happens too quickly, if it happens at all, or you have general questions or concerns, please contact us. We want to know if something isn’t right.
